SPLACH – Disability justice for devalidated futures interpreted in FSL
Rencontre
With No Anger, Emma Bigé, Léna Dormeau and Harriet de G.
Ableism, neurodiversity, crip, Mad Pride, Deaf+: words that disability studies and movements mobilise against extractivism. At the heart of the logic that bases your value on your productivity, there is an ability-supremacy: the idea that there are good and bad bodies, good and bad minds. In COVID-19’s continuing era of mass-devalidation, and at a time when the toxicity of the air, soil and water exposes more and more of us to chronic illness, disability justice movements ask us to think of social justice in light of disability: thinking of healthcare access, mobility, slowness, mutual peer support and health self-defence strategies as tools to reimagine our present time.
During the event, they offer readings and discussions of texts presented in the special issue dedicated to this subject by the transdisciplinary studies journal Multitudes. Everyone is welcome: all disabled people, anti-ableist activists, allies, and novices wishing to learn about these issues.

The room is accessible to persons with reduced mobility.
