[fr]Peut-on se passer d’architecture ? Rencontre - Discussion[en]Can we do without architecture? Meeting – Discussion

Hors les murs, Rencontre

Held at the Médiathèque on Boulevard Danièle Casanova in Sète.

A meeting to discuss Gianni Pettena’s exhibition Anarchitecture and the collections of the multimedia libraries network of Sète Agglopôle Méditerranée.
What is “anarchitecture” as conceived by Italian artist and architect Gianni Pettena? Can a natural landscape be viewed as a structure? How can we draw inspiration from it for looking at our cities, our environment? Come discover and discuss these questions through the prism of recent art history, as well as through the exploration of books, records, children’s storybooks and comic strips—shared treasures that surprise us.

Event organised in the context of the partnership between the Crac Occitanie and the Médiathèque François Mitterrand. Led by a librarian of the Médiathèque and an art historian from the Crac.

Prior to this event, from 10 to 25 February, a selection of books from the multimedia libraries of Sète Agglopôle Méditerranée is being presented in the Crac Occitanie reception area. These beautiful books on architecture, design and art were specially selected by librarians to echo the exhibition.
