Laurie Charles is a visual and textual storyteller. She writes and paints speculative narratives on large canvases.
In her drawings, paintings, sculptures and videos, Laurie Charles presents characters, symbols and situations inspired by reality or by historical stories, offering a feminist reinterpretation.
For example, she has written an alternative history of medicine different from the established one, in which it is a matter of treatment, cycles, ecological disaster, healing. Her way of working is inextricably linked to her way of life, since the personal is also political.
