De l’impertinence est un évènement à la forme hybride, à la fois résidence de recherche artistique et rendez-vous de danse à Sète. Le laboratoire convie chaque année un collectif d’artistes afin qu’iels créent des performances au sein des lieux partenaires (souvent non dédiés à l’art vivant) de la ville de Sète.

Chaque artiste est également invité·e à présenter un travail en cours de création, l’idée étant d’ouvrir au public des temps de recherches tout en valorisant des travaux en cours d’écriture et impertinents.

• 18h30 : bouche, bave, main
  Solo de Clarissa Baumann
  Le langage touche la langue et la langue se déroule de la bouche tel un fil qui se prend entre les mains dans la chaleur de la salive. L’enchevêtré chaud-humide-langue se confond aux lignes des mains, aux lignes de l’espace, se déroule, s’étale et se dépose par terre. Les mains cartographes, en manque (ou en guise) de mots avancent dans l’espace, dessinent, esquissent des gestes dans l’air en suivant les contours de ce qui n’est pas ou plus ou pas encore…

  d’ Andréa Givanovitch en collaboration avec Paul JF Fleury.
  LeatherBetter est une quête sensorielle et chorégraphique où le cuir, métaphore vivante, incarne les tensions entre poids symbolique et libération. À travers la friction, la répétition et l’épuisement, la performance interroge les notions de masculinité, de transformation et d’identité queer.

• 20h : Leonor performance du Collectif De l’impertinence #4
  Le collectif présente sur le parvis du Crac une nouvelle performance prenant appui sur les formes, les thèmes et le parcours de l’exposition de Leonor Antunes.

• 20h30 : Moment convivial autour du buffet performatif créé par Arturo Franzino.

Biographies des artistes invités :

Andréa Givanovitch est un danseur et chorégraphe français basé à Paris. Après avoir été diplomé de SEAD, il a été interprète dans des pièces de Ohad Naharin, Damien Jalet, Mathilde Monnier, Patricia Apergi, Jan Lauwers, François et Christian Ben Aïm.
Il co-cré le Collectif Melted Milk basé à Toulouse, Occitanie depuis Avril 2024 avec Clara Lou Munie.

Paul JF Fleury est artiste musical, chercheur et auteur originaire d’Orléans. Formé à la philosophie puis diplômé de l’EHESS, il mène aujourd’hui un travail de recherche de doctorat sur les usages de l’IA dans la production musicale. Auteur-compositeur et interprète, il fabrique de la musique sous le pseudonyme de Jeune Faune. De la musique bruitiste à la pop expérimentale, son travail sonore est caractérisé par une approche évocatrice et immersive, faisant dialoguer maximalisme et minimalisme. Il a notamment collaboré avec les chorégraphes Georges Labbat, Tilhenn Klapper et Sorour Darabi.

Arturo Franzino est cuisinier. Passé vaguement partout et nulle part, il se retrouve en 2024 chef en résidence de l’Académie de France à la Villa Médicis. Amoureux de Rome, il y reste pour tenter de tisser un réseau de producteurs, artisans, agriculteurs, amis et artistes. Des rencontres autour de la nourriture, de la musique et du vin. Rencontres spontanées, guidés par une volonté d’expérimenter ou seulement de s’abandonner à l’ébriété d’un vin nature, peu importe.

Clarissa Baumann est artiste plasticienne et chorégraphe basée à Sète. À l’image de son œuvre aux multiples formes – livres, installations, performances ou encore vidéos – sa pratique naît des fissures poétiques, phonétiques et gestuelles perçues dans les espaces qu’elle traverse, les récits des personnes rencontrées, les archives et les références mises en dialogue. Initialement formée en Dessin Industriel à Rio de Janeiro et aux Beaux- Arts de Paris, elle côtoie la danse et le cirque avant de suivre le master exerce à ICI-CCN de Montpellier. Elle est co-fondatrice du collectif et Laboratoire Chorégraphique montpelliérain COHUE.

De l’impertinence is a hybrid event : both an artistic research residency and a dance gathering in Sète. Every year, the lab invites a group of artists to create performances on partner sites in Sète, many of which are not dedicated to the performing arts.

Every artist is also asked to present a work in progress, the idea being to open their research to the public, showing “impertinent” works in development.

  Solo by Clarissa Baumann
  Language touches the tongue and the tongue rolls out of the mouth like a thread caught between the hands in the warmth of saliva. The warm-wet-tongue tangle merges with the lines of the hands, the lines of space, unrolling, spreading out and settling on the ground.
  Cartographer hands, lacking (or replacing) words advance in the space, drawing, sketching gestures in the air, tracing the contours of that which is not, or no longer, or not yet…

  LeatherBetter is a sensory and choreographic quest in which leather, a living metaphor, embodies the tensions between symbolic weight and liberation. Through friction, repetition and exhaustion, the performance questions notions of masculinity, transformation, and queer identity.

  On the Crac forecourt, the collective presents a new performance based on the exhibition by Leonor Antunes : its forms, its themes and the paths it takes.

Biographies des artistes invités :

Andréa Givanovitch is a French dancer and choreographer based in Paris. After graduating from SEAD, he performed in pieces by Ohad Naharin, Damien Jalet, Mathilde Monnier, Patricia Apergi, Jan Lauwers, and Christian & François Ben Aïm. In April 2024 with Clara Lou Munié , he co-founded the Melted Milk collective based in Toulouse, Occitanie.

Paul JF Fleury is a music artist, researcher and author from Orléans. Trained in philosophy and a graduate of the EHESS, today he is conducting PhD research on the use of AI in music production. As a composer and performer, he makes music under the pseudonym Jeune Faune. From noise music to experimental pop, his sound work is characterised by an evocative and immersive approach, bringing maximalism and minimalism into dialogue. He has collaborated with such choreographers as Georges Labbat, Tilhenn Klapper and Sorour Darabi.

Arturo Franzino is a chef. Having vaguely drifted everywhere and nowhere, in 2024 he found himself becoming chef-in-residence of the French Academy at Villa Médicis. In love with Rome, he stayed there to try weaving a network of producers, artisans, farmers, friends and artists. Gatherings surrounding food, music and wine. Spontaneous gatherings, guided by a desire to experiment, or just to surrender to the intoxication of a natural wine, no matter which.

Clarissa Baumann is a visual artist and choreographer based in Sète. Mirroring her work’s multiple forms (books, installations, performances, videos), her practice springs from the poetic, phonetic and gestural fissures she perceives in the spaces she crosses, the stories of people she encounters, as well as archives and references that she brings into dialogue. Having initially studied industrial design in Rio de Janeiro and fine art at the Beaux- Arts de Paris, she got involved in dance and circus performance before completing an exerce master’s degree at ICI-CCN Montpellier. She is co-founder of Laboratoire Chorégraphique COHUE in Montpellier.
