With Canal Royal, all forms of creativity are invited to the Crac, through several projects devised to promote and broaden the reach of the Occitanie region’s art scene. Four projects are presented upstairs at the Crac all summer long.

This exhibition looks back at more than a year of research work by Carole Aragon and her association Les Ateliers du patrimoine du XX^e . With the help of two artists, Marion Mounic and Valentine Solignac, she explored the architectural and cultural heritage of Sète’s Île de Thau district.
By delving into the city’s archives and presenting the results of various workshops involving the district’s residents and users, the exhibition offers a new way of imagining the neighbourhood. Photographs, image archives, sound recordings, and a map of the district’s culinary habits are presented in a display specially designed for the occasion.

This project is led by Carole Aragon (PhD in architecture and architectural heritage), and by invited artists Marion Mounic, (visual artist) and Valentine Solignac, (photographic artist).

In partnership with the French government, the Policy Department of the City of Sète, the Agglopôle Bassin de Thau , the Médiathèque André Malraux and the Crac Occitanie.
Les Ateliers du Patrimoine du XX^e is an association that runs education and culture projects exploring 20th-century architectural heritage.
