Violeta Azevedo is an experimental flutist from Lisbon who builds expansive sound landscapes using a whole orchestra of effect pedals.

In recent years, she has collaborated with a broad range of Portuguese avant-garde musicians and has performed in some of Portugal’s most respected experimental music institutions, like Culturgest, MAAT and gnration. She is a member of several music projects, including Jasmim, Haraem and Savage Ohms.
The concert is offered as part of In a Landscape, a season of travelling concerts initiated by the GMEA - Centre National de Création Musicale d’Albi-Tarn, whose purpose is to promote artists that are representative of the liveliness and pluralism of music performance today.
Travelling programme from November 2023 to May 2024 in Albi at the GMEA, in Toulouse at Le Vent des Signes and Théâtre Garonne, and in Sète at the Crac Occitanie.
