Concert by Louis Laurain Cornet, bird calls & percussions

Concert

Louis Laurain presents a 100%-nature cornet solo based on repetitive rhythms, DIY mutes, small percussions, and bird calls stuck into the pipes .

Louis Laurain started working on this project in the first months of the pandemic, mostly outdoors. After a first version in August 2020 in a forest in Lot, he offered a cross-country set situated in nature, in bars, in broad resonant spaces, in people’s homes, or on sites somewhat emblematic of the experimental scene.

The concert is offered as part of In a Landscape, a season of travelling concerts initiated by the GMEA Centre National de Création Musicale d’Albi-Tarn, whose purpose is to promote artists representative of the vitality and pluralism of today’s music.
This travelling programme visits Albi at the GMEA, Toulouse at Le Vent des Signes and Théâtre Garonne, and Sète at the Crac Occitanie.
