The Crac is giving a carte blanche to the FEAT.SUNSETE Festival, which has invited Sète artist Julien Boudet to present recent and representative works.

Combining photography, sculpture and installation, Julien Boudet builds bridges between different Mediterranean visual cultures, while referencing art history, hip hop and sport. His images also include luxury brands, displacing these emblems of consumerist desire into other contexts, infusing them with a new meaning.

The dichotomies between truth and falsehood, counterfeit and authenticity, are recurring themes in Julien Boudet’s practice. He draws our attention to that fact that this counterfeit paradox is the result of hyper-consumerism.
